Lighthouse Corner

We were given the correct building (Atlantica Resort has two buildings) but the entirely wrong floor and room number. When I was able to find staff they said this had been a prevalent problem. The condo was nice but smaller than anticipated so it wasn't as conducive to a family of five as we thought. The outdoor pools at the main building were nice. We really enjoyed the lazy river and the shallow sitting pool. However, the busier they got, the dirtier they got. The beach was very close which was nice for kids who can't make up their minds. Not a terrible walk from the boardwalk and promenade.

Let's start with the good. Location, location, location! The location of this unit was wonderful. We hardly drove our car anywhere as we were able to walk to almost everything. And now the not so good. The unit was tight for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The TV in the second bedroom didn't work (according to the teenagers) and live TV was not accessible to watch the World Cup. There was also a bad smell upon entering the unit. The air fresheners placed around the main living space could not mask the smell. As much as we loved the location, we would not choose to stay in this unit again due to the smell.

The cleanliness of the room were great and the stay was relaxing. We just didn't have any service as far a lobby or anything. There are 2 of the same buildings, and we was in the building without a lobby and no service for anything we may have needed. But other than that it was a great stay.

Unfortunately the sales person on the phone said this was a brand new property, it was not, its old and outdated, the beds need upgrading, not comfortable, and the balcony is coming apart on the walls of the building, kinda a safety issue and I was a little nervous about standing out there, Unfortunately I won't know if these things will be fixed as I probably won't stay here again. Please clean inside of the sink, under the rubber flaps, it smelled in that area, as I cleaned it, and it was full of mold. This is an over sight for most rentals. Overall an ok to stay, close to amenities and the beach. The furniture could use an upgrade as well
