Ocean Creek Plantation DD-6

The rental was not clean in the least. We found hair in the master shower, wrapped around the shampoo bottles mounted on the shower wall. There was hair IN THE FREEZER. The exhaust vents were disgustingly dirty. The threshold into one of the bedrooms was not attached, a piece quarter round was completely detached in the master bedroom under the sliding glass door, glasses and dishes were not clean. We have 2 children with autism and the door to their bedroom did not secure. You could just push it open. We found a prescription medication bottle in their room. There was a bottle of some type of cleansing water behind the nightstand in the master bedroom. I wish that I could attach photos but of course I cannot. It's safe to say that the unit does not get cleaned at all. I reported all of these issues exactly one week ago and all that I heard back from Vacasa was "I'm sorry to hear there were concerns with your Vacasa home! I've reached out to our local manager for more information on compensation. We will get in touch with you once we have an update. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any additional questions." I reached back on on Friday (July 17) and crickets. So do yourselves a favor, do not rent this unit.

This location was just a bit cheaper than others. Nothing special. The beds and rooms show why it’s cheaper.

To start, you do NOT need to wait in line to check in. Wish that had been communicated. Second, the door code is in fact 10 ungodly digits long & the door lock is incredibly finicky. We gave up & used the “emergency key” for most of the week. Third, the place is pretty outdated, but I honestly don’t care as long as it’s clean & comfortable. However, it could use a good deep cleaning & our bed was a bit hard for my liking. Most importantly, however, was the leak from the ceiling in the hall bathroom. The leak would occur any time we used water (showers, washing laundry, etc). We reached out to Vacasa & another number that had contacted us after our initial complaint. Nothing was ever done to address the leak issue. You could not even sit upon the throne in the hall bathroom without getting water dripped onto you from the ceiling above. I have pictures & videos that I was hoping to post in this review, but I don’t see anywhere to share them. My fear is that that section of ceiling will collapse on future residents if it is not fixed ASAP. Oh, and this unit is not managed by the property itself, so don’t expect to get any toilet paper or supplies from the front office. Overall, the location is great, but this particular condo was incredibly disappointing.

This unit is in terrible need of repair and upgrades!!!

The view and the boardwalk was amazing and some staff, like the golf cart drivers weee exceptional nice and helpful.

Ocean Creek was great. Really enjoyed the property and amenities. Highly recommend. Unit DD-6 was adequate but is very dated and not very clean when we arrived. Kitchen is lacking utensils. Update and clean up better and this units gets a higher rating.
