Harbourgate 0610

I loved the location. It was very quiet and close to lots of restaurants and shopping centers. The room was very clean. The hot tub was awesome. The pool and hot tub were clean. I love that pets are not allowed due to allergies. Other than my iron didnt work and they never replaced it after requesting it twice, the stay was great. I will definitely book again.

I like how I can just look over the water from my balcony and drinking my coffee that’s where I like to stay when I am down there and my wife I would love to buy one of them. Just a one bedroom.

The beach, the pool, and the boats was nice.

This location is great for walking to both Filets and Captain Archies. Very convenient to the beach. Unfortunately that is where the positives end. The unit is dated and it feels like being in a cheap motel. The lamps had screws and nuts to turn them on and off, the furniture is dated and the dresser is so wide in the bedroom you can just get by it. It needs a good paint job. The outside deck furniture were 2 old dirty $10 plastic chairs. No frying pan or skillet for eggs or any type of casserole dish or any container with a lid. It is very bare bones. While I usually prefer to stay in VRBO/Airbnb's I honestly would have rather stayed in a hotel on this trip so that at least when something went wrong there would be a front desk to speak to. When we went to go to bed we realized how bad the creaking was from the mattress (not the bedframe). Neither one of us slept all night it was so creaky. I called Vacas at 7:30AM and never heard from them. I called again at 1PM and asked to be moved and they stated that the local property manager said there was no where to move us, which I know wasn't true because there were empty condos right in the building available on Vacasa. I spoke to her a little longer and then got a call from building maintenance. We then got a call that they would be replacing the mattress and frame within 30 minutes. So while a great turn out and a much better's night sleep, if I hadn't argued and called back we would have gotten nowhere. We had to move the batteries between remotes to get them to work and the TV and remote were so dated it wasn't even worth the frustration of watching TV. No smart TV functions. The next day I needed to return a DVD in the rental machine and someone had stuck their rental paper in it so I couldn't return. Called Vacasa and no call back at all even after I went back and took a photo for them. By that night I wasn't provided any other solution to return the DVD or leave it in my room. I ended up going down to the machine with tweezers and getting the paper out. I was truly frustrated by Vacasa's service. The unit was surface clean, floors had a lot of cleaner on them because your shoes stuck to them, the place needs deep clean. I would recommend Harbour Gate as a place to stay, but not this unit and perhaps not even managed by Vacasa. I have stayed in other Vacasa managed properties with no issues, but I guess that is why the experience was positive, there were no issues with the condo unit itself.

The convenience of the location. Quick elevators, nice building.
