It would have been a higher rating if it wasn’t for a disappointed family with not being able to enjoy all of the amenities that the resort has to offer.

Our stay at the Sand Dunes was good. Overall the hotel, resturants, and other site amenities were great. The room itself was nice, spacious, but dirty. My grandchildren's feet were black from walking on the floor as soon as we got there. I tried to make them keep socks on, but sometimes that hard. The room could have come with a few more welcome amenities, like a mop, air fryer, salt & pepper shakers, trash bags, paper towles, and toilet tissue. We had to go and purchase these items for our stay, as we did not have enough. We needed batteries in the remote control upon arrival, and the smoke detector was going off when we entered the unit, and the only way to get it to stop was to remove it from the ceiling. Batteries were delivered to the unit the next day. The host was very responsive when I reported the batteries and the smoke detector issues. The host was kind and pleasant to message with. The rooms were spacious and the view was awesome. It was a great family trip overall.

To pay the amount we did and have our water turned off all day for multiple days and than to see roaches crawling around had to get some bug spray just to get through the week since we couldn’t cancel bc we would lose our money which was a lot. Waterpark photos are shown in the listing than afterwards you find out it’s not and you can’t purchase them separate they won’t let you, believe me I asked as soon as we got there..

Easy access to the beach. 1 day without water. 1 and 1/2 days with no hot water. We had to get a hotel room for one day to get hot showers.
