The location was great, the food was decent, the staff was amazing. The manager was helpful beyond exceptional. The room was spacious and clean. The location on the river created a level of tranquility, that is a once in a lifetime experience. The kind of place you. visit when escaping is your only option.

We stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate a special birthday. Loved relaxing in the evenings in the pool. Nice to be out of the noise of town. Great views and oeaceful. Drinks are a bit pricey, and you are charged for a bucket of ice! Breakfasts are good, but avoid eating here in the evening - very bland. Best to get a taxi into town. Also, just know that there is no one at the desk in the night in an emergency - we had a smoke alarm go off at 4am!

Mahogany Hall was an absolute dream — serene and peaceful, perfectly nestled on a beautiful tropical river that was ideal for swimming and relaxing. The natural surroundings created such a calm, rejuvenating atmosphere. The food blew us away every single meal — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the most memorable luxuries was the bathtub overlooking the lush jungle, offering a unique and indulgent way to unwind. The staff were wonderfully accommodating and attentive, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. Without a doubt, Mahogany Hall is our favorite hotel experience ever, and we can’t wait to return!

Mahogany Hall is just isolated enough to preserve an atmosphere of remoteness, while still being only a short drive from the bustling tourist center of San Ignacio. The property is beautifully maintained, and the Hall itself is reminiscent of a Hemingway style writer’s retreat tucked neatly away in a cozy jungle hideaway. The river provides soothing sounds of gentle rapids and offers a cool clean respite from the heat. Swimming here is entertaining and is something to be enjoyed by guests and a few locals as well. The food & drinks were delicious and the service and staff were exceptionally warm and hospitable. The dark hardwood charm of this humble estate alongside the Mopan River has been the highlight of our trip thus far and we would absolutely prioritize a stay here in the future.
