We were looking for a middle-of-the-road lodging option for a family of 5 (3 teenagers) for the two nights we were going to be exploring the inland side of Belize. This was a rare find that would allow us to stay in one room, rather than having to reserve 2 rooms to house us all. The room was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than we could have hoped for. The location was a quick -5 minute drive to San Ignacio and was wonderfully remote and peaceful. The photos you see online are spot-on - it is as idealic as it appears. The staff was very accomodating. The restaurant & bar on-site were a wonderful bonus that made our stay so easy and relaxing (and were also very reasonably priced). Had we not had plans on the east side of the country, we would have loved to stay longer and enjoy all this boutique hotel had to offer.

The rooms were well appointed. We loved the balconies and the ability to leave them open during the cool evenings to hear the sound of the rushing river. The staff are so attentive and kind and very good at their jobs. When they found out we were going cave tubing they gave us extra towels to use. The infinity pool is stunning. The mahogany woodwork in the building was stunning. The food was top notch and the drinks were good and strong. Two small things we missed was an ice machine and a small refrigerator in the rooms. It would also be nice to include a printed history of the building and property in each room and perhaps around the different places in the resort. It certainly is unique and beautiful.

Only a 10 min drive to the town . Which gave us a quiet and relaxing stay . Right on the river which was nice

We stayed two nights at Mahogany Inn. The room was great. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river. It was very soothing. The beds were comfortable and tea and coffee were provided in the room. It was a short drive to San Ignacio where we ate dinner. Highly recommend a stay here!

This is a relaxing place to stay for a day or two. You can hang out down on the river bank itself or up at the deck with a nice view from above. The food from the hotel restaurant is surprisingly good and affordably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is an understated but beautiful little hotel. The deck overlooking the river is the highlight. Service is excellent, food is tasty and drinks are plentiful and all of it reasonably priced (especially the local rum drinks). Also, walk to the nearby dumplings place for some great noodles and dumplings.
