Nice Cabin

The pool is shallow, so I didn’t use it during the day as it is too warm. I did enjoy using it at night time; I would float on my back and watch the stars and moon above. Quite enjoyable. The cabañas are a good size and are well furnished, have a nice little kitchen, a lovely king-sized bed, and a nice deck out front. Because there are fans w/o AC, you need to keep all of the windows open for airflow, which can make you feel a bit like you are living in a fishbowl. Some small repairs need to be attended to, but there isn’t a staff person around to do that. This is only a minor frustration. Location is good, although it would be nice to be closer to the sea. The neighborhood is generally quiet (you don’t even here the ubiquitous barking dogs and crowing roosters that you do in most other Belize neighborhoods), although a new restaurant/nightclub opened a block away that is somewhat noisy on weekend nights. Drinking water is not provided, and it is a bit of a slog carrying water bottles from the store to this site. Young people should be able to manage the heavy lifting OK, but older people without a vehicle probably should not stay here. All together, I quite like this place.

It was a great set-up, and great for the cost. It was a comfortable stay.

The location is great if you want to experience local life. The kitchen was extremely helpful because we were able to make dinner a few times and enjoy the pool. It doesn’t have air conditioning but windows and fan were helpful if you are up for an adventure.

The accommodations weren’t bad, but it could use a bit of simple sprucing up. New towel hooks in the bathroom, tighten up the faucet at the kitchen sink, pint the outside of cabanas, etc.

Cabin had everything we needed and was spacious, well-equiped, clean and nicely decorated. Free bikes. A bit outside of the center, but everything is easily reachable.
