Condo #26 at Beachside Villas -Gold Standard Certified

Pros: The property is beautiful and well maintained, the pool is decent, the dock (shared with neighbouring resort) is really nice and the restaurant next door is pretty good (pricey but good). Cons: Inside the unit (#26) is outdated and many things don’t work or are broken. The biggest issue is the non-functional smoke detector, which we discovered as a result of the broken toaster. The second biggest issue is security. The doors are completely made of glass slats that randomly fall out part way. There’s no screens on most of the doors. And the only locks are on a single door knob that is almost falling off. We tried to tighten the screws with a butter knife as best we could. The gas oven does not work. You will also only receive one towel per person for the duration of the stay. We had 4 towels for 4 teens/adults for 4 days. When we asked for more they brought us 1. Not 1 each, 1 total. The beds are boxy and quite firm. Not horrible, but definitely not luxurious. The bedding is one very thin quilt. All of the issues were brought immediately to the concierge who promised to make it right the following day. No one ever showed up and he never spoke to us again. Overall, the property and location are great but the interior is absolutely not worth the price.

The pool and grounds were nice. That particular unit needs some TLC

We had a great stay at Beachside Villas. It was great to be so close to the ocean with a dock to walk out on and fish or just relax. The property grounds were well maintained and being able to sit at the pool while enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean was bonus. The condo itself was spacious and clean. When we had an issue with the table, it was addressed promptly. The only thing I would note was there were a few dogs roaming the property. They were all friendly but one liked to hang out in the pool and we were woken up to barking.

I loved staying at this villa. And the personnel was helpful.

It's a wonderful place with a beautiful view. Very good location if you have your own transportation as it is like 10 mins away from Placencia Village. It has a kitchen which is a plus. Note that it does not have a kids pool if you are travelling with small children. Overall, our experience at Beachside Villas was very good.
