MF9 K’in Suite at Mayan Falls -Gold Standard and Safe Corridor Certified

This was the worst experience I have had with this property. First vacasa send me a confirmation, then they say I have to call and identify myself a day before I am leaving for the property. Then the morning of they send me a form that has to be filled out. Once I arrived at the property did not have the code to get the keys. The property manager was unresponsive. I had to get one of the workers that were there to contact them to get the keys after hours of waiting. I sent many requests to the property manager for the wifi password. The system to get the wifi password is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. You have to scan a QR code which gives you a link to a form that you have to fill out then when you fill it out it s is suppose to send you the password. It never sends the password. So you need wifi to connect to wifi?I Finally got in touch with the manager he incomes me that I do not know how to scan a QR code and that this works fine for his local phone. I finally get them to just send the password. There is no reason it could not have just wrote it down like everywhere else. After travailing all day and sitting out min the sun all day the place had no water to shower with. Again I respond to the manager no answer. Had to contact Vacasa to get a response, but not till the next day. I could not flush the toilet so by morning the whole place smelled like shit. The AC in the bed room was almost useless. The second bed room had no AC what so ever. The patio doors did not open properly. The couch was so uncomfortable it was unusable. The pool needs some maintenance. I have stayed at this property before Vacasa and this property has gone down hill and would not recommend this property or Vacasa.

The place does not look like pictures. Table is different, couch is basically dead. Back room uninhabitable as the heat in there is incredible. Showers had no pressure. No towel racks, couch is in rough shape. Bldg is next to a restaurant night club. You will hear it until midnight or later if they sit out back all night until 4 am. Area is ok. Go to RP for food at the end of the street by the airport.

Staff were prompt and helpful

Quiet location despite the few airplanes. Nice pool to cool off or wash off the seawater. Also outdoor shower. Great rooftop viewing deck, big enough for small parties. It even has a bar. We were in K'in (#9). Very nice, 3rd floor (no elevator). Two bathrooms with showers, one cold, one hot. Couch was a bit funky. The whole place had a nice funky vibe. Not upscale. Great price. Mile walk into "downtown," but there were banks, restaurants, stores and beaches much closer.

The stay was good. A few things could be improved on or upgraded to make it a better stay. In the 2 bedroom suite, a broom would be needed to help sweep the place of sand. A fresh coat of paint would rejuvenate the place. The beds are very comfortable, wifi worked great.
