Starfish Cabana at Latitude Adjustment -Gold Standard Certified

We loved the room and appreciated the kitchenette for morning meals. The bed was very comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. One thing to consider is the close proximity of a local bar one block north. It was not always lively, but a couple of nights it was loud until 2:00am. The pool was lovely when we didn’t feel like hitting the beach. We would stay again!

Spacious, quiet, clean. The pool was lovely for cooling off. Kitchen was sufficiently équipe to do your own cooking. Not far from the center of town and the beach. Bicycles available. We had a very nice stay.

Starfish cabana was a really nice stay. I was a little concerned about not having AC. But with windows open and fans on. It was a quite comfortable. I slept very well at night. It was also quiet there. I would recommend this place if your looking for an affordable place in Hopkins.

We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations, because of some reviews were nervous. Bottom line, if you want perfection and high maintenance, go to a resort. Yes there were flaws, but found workarounds. The freezer door definitely needs to be fixed and put on. No air-conditioning! I left freezing cold Canada, so this was not an issue for us. Why come to a tropical climate to escape winter and insist on a/c? The pool is there for a dip to cool off, or a nice cool shower. 2 ceiling fans, and mostly the pedestal fan kept us cool enough. Closing drapes on sunny side of cabana helped too. Getting supplies for our daily needs was part of our routine, walking to vegetable stands, and grocery stores we found everything we needed. Loved listening to birds when having morning coffee on our front porch. Recommend adding Merlin Bird Id App to your device, see how many different bird id's you can collect and learn about. It's free. Loved being off the main street, quieter, less traffic when walking, interesting places too explore. We'll lit at night, did not feel unsafe. Arranged for an evening hike in the jungle, fishing/snorkeling with lunch tour, trip to Placencia to monkey river jungle tour, hikes to waterfalls, there was so much more to see. Having a access to a car was helpful, just ran out of time. Will likely be back. 67 and 72 year old, loved the mostly peace and quiet. Almost forgot, there is a bar next block, a couple nights of week live music, earplugs were helpful😄
