Midnight Cove II 823

We loved the location, distance to beach, the cleanliness, and the keypad entry. Other than that, it was pretty basic and bare-bones decor.

Property is in a perfect location

Location was great. The condo suited our needs and the community was wonderful. Located close to the beach five minute walk max.

We had booked this condo for our family’s trip and were pretty disappointed in the experience. The location was great and it was two couples and a fifth adult so the two king beds and pull-out were going to be perfect. Our expectations far exceeded our experience. There were no sheets for the pull-out so we had to use comforters and blankets to cover the mattress. The couch cushions had stains on them and the arm rests were caved in on the sides from use. From walking around barefoot right after we got there, the bottom of our feet were black so it was clear the floors hadn’t been properly cleaned. The listing advertises AC, but what it doesn’t say is that you cannot set it lower than 73°. I understand putting a limit on how low it can be set to protect the AC from damage, however, that temperature is usually at least 70°, especially during winter months when it’s cooler. When we checked in, the sliding glass door didn’t lock so it was possible someone could enter through the balcony. We called to report the AC and door items and we were told that the AC was locked at that temperature by design, that they would look into a portable AC unit, and that the earliest someone could be there for the door would be the next day. After nearly 24 hours, and several follow up phone calls, someone arrived, but he had no idea about the AC unit. Lastly, the shower door wasn’t fully secure and the drain was clogged. Would not stay here again.

Midnight cove II is a great community. The condo is on a great location to access the beach. it has everything you could possibly need to make meals and serve them. The sheets on the bed are very nice. The shower is amazing; it has lots of water pressure. They should fix the outside door and the bedroom window, because they are not working properly. The air conditioner does not go below 73 degrees and it was sometimes unconfortable, if you get hot a lot. The property does have two beach chairs, so don't rent them.

The location is perfect. There is a free trolley stop right outside the parking lot, and there is a beach access (need a code to open the gates) across the street. Please note that beach access is basically a shortcut to the beachfront that is Midnight Cove which does not share rights with Midnight Cove II. If you want to take chairs to the beach, which are in the closet of the living room, you can either walk along the main street to Public Beach 12, use the key code beach access and walk your chairs along the beach to Public Access 12 or take a trolley to another public beach. There is a laundromat within a few feet of the unit. Be sure to bring quarters! It is $1.75 per wash and $1.75 per dry. The unit was clean when we arrived. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. For the price, it is a good deal.
