Sea Palm Cottage

This house is in a great location and the pool area is fantastic. The house is older on the inside but decorated nicely. Only complaint is the kitchen is poorly equipped. There wasn’t enough silverware to make it through lunch and dinner and barely any baking dishes/pans/cooking utensils etc to cook a full meal. But we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

The only reason this rating is not lower is because of the private pool and proximity to the beach. The kitchen was updated and stocked with essentials. However, the rest of the house could use a complete overhaul. The front door doesn't open all the way unless forced. The beds are a chiropractor's dream and the pillows are dismal. Every single cushion in and out of the house is soiled and we didn't even want to sit on them. The couches have slip covers on them and need to either be cleaned or replaced. All of the items have been mentioned in previous reviews as far back as two years. We mentioned to Vacasa before our rental time that we were concerned about these things but were reassured that they had been addressed. Several of the blinds in the home are not functioning leaving privacy behind. The twin bed in the back bedroom is not attached to the headboard causing it to move around throughout the night. The caulk in both showers is blackened and needs to be replaced. Again, the pool and beach were wonderful but we would never stay in this home again.

The house was perfectly clean when we arrived!! The pool was so relaxing and enjoyable after a long day on the beach. Highly recommend renting this home!

Location is wonderfully close to a nice beach. Local restaurants were delicious, but would not recommend staying in the Sea Palm. The rental itself was not clean. Disgusting yard, clogged sink, broken disposal, leaky dishwasher, no window screens, with a minimum of supplies to clean someone else’s mess. Dull knives unable to even cut veggies. No broom, cushions and pillows were stained and dirty, used q-tip on bathroom floor. No propane for grill, tank arrived day before leaving, but the igniter never worked on the filthy grill anyway. I spent a good part of my hard earned vacation cleaning trash and rusted toys from the back yard just to be able to relax by the pool. Unsure why I receive such a variety of auto created texts that answered non of my questions, with local property manager avoiding requests for response. How could Vacasta represent a 1k per day rental, next to construction zones with overflowing dumpsters and smells from standing water next door?

Very nice home, on busy street but very secluded with an abundance of landscaping. Inside and outside amenities were good
