This is my fifth stay in this apartment block but my first time in this specific apartment. No cart to carry items to the beach, every other apartment I've stayed in, within this property, had a cart to carry items to the beach. Vacassa wouldn't let me use a beach chair for hour after check-out, even though there were no guests in at 10am and the cleaners were there. Again, every other apartment I've stayed in haven't had a problem with this. Honestly, what difference would it have made to them. I tried explaining why I needed the chair and that I would have it back to them before the clearners left but they just said, in essence, policies are strict policies. Very inflexible. If they don't allow early arrival at check-in (which is what they told me) then nobody would be using the beach chair until 4pm. The cleaners could have confirmed I returned it. If I had know just how inflexible Vacassa would be I would have brought my own chair with me (I didn't do this as my previous 4 stays in this exact block of apartments had allowed this, so it must be a vacassa specific rule). I won't book this unit again for this specific reason. Vacassa felt very rigid and not at all customer focused. I have a property myself in Orlando which i rent out and I would never be so inflexible over a beach chair. Fyi they don't allow parking before check-in time or after check-out time, even if the space is empty. Again, if they don't allow arrival before 4pm then why not let you park if no body else is allowed to park there? Just an observation but we did arrive on the island early and no body was parked in the space all afternoon, we just had to sit on the road watching an empty parking space, just seems an unnecessary rule if no body else was allowed to use it.
