Maui Kamaole L208

The unit was equipped with everything that anyone on vacation/ gathering would need, down to sponges and dish washing soap which is an unexpected surprise for me because I am very particular about my surroundings and I just loved, loved, loved the place! Me and my whole family (we actually had 3 units) are planning to come back same time next year and would definitely like to booked not just 3 units but a few more to accommodated our very large family members! This is our second year staying in this unit and we absolutely love it. It is perfect for families! There has been tons of beach toys and chairs each time, you can see the pool from the deck which is nice when kids are running back and forth between the pool and home. There is a fair amount of kitchen equipment to make meals. We really love staying here! Maui Kamaole is amazing in general but this unit in particular has been our favorite. We have been here two years in a row with other family staying in other units and we all end up hanging out at this one for meals and just spending time on the porch. I hope that we can come back soon, it is really starting to feel like our home away from home.

This is a nice overall unit, so don't get me wrong with this review...we enjoyed our stay, but there are few things to call out on the unit. This unit has some dated furniture and finishing...We have stayed in 3 other units on this property and this unit had the most dated furniture, appliances, and accessories. Again, it all works fine and didn't give us any major problems, but considering we stayed for 2 weeks and paid the market rate for this property, it should show off better vs other units in the Maui Kamaole. Cheap beach towels, cheap beach chairs(actually just Walmart camping chairs and not the Tommy Bahama style back pack chairs that every other unit seems to have... (2 of which were broken/unuseable), lack of glassware (only 3 wine glasses), cheap 2 slice toaster, cheap coffee maker etc- again...first world problems but still..just felt a bit low quality for what we were paying but this may not bother some folks. Also the posted pictures in the ad and the virtual tour show basically 2 different types of furniture/decor for the unit. The static posted pics are a more accurate representation of how the unit is finished vs the virtual tour (Virtual tour shows some different furniture, different appliances (coffeemaker and bottled water dispenser were not in the unit but show on the virtual tour) so just be aware that the virtual tour doesn't fully match the static photos. Dealing with Vacasa for booking etc was great and the app is easy to use but when we had to communicate with them to try and get some beach chairs that weren't broken it felt like we were chatting with a 3rd party ai chat bot that would then relay our requests to someone local on Maui...in the end we only got one replacement chair but we made do but we did ask for 2 so now there is one Tommy Bahama chair and 2 cheap Walmart Ozark camp chairs. There are 5 boogie boards in the unit and one pair of swim fins so we bought a snorkel and mask and left those behind to help complete the set. Unit is nice and close to the upper pool and tennis courts but a long way from walking to the beach for young families (also it is at the top of complex so downhill to the beach but a pretty good uphill coming back from the beach might be a challenge for some older folks or young children). Overall this unit is still a nice place to stay and gave us no issues but compared to other units I think the owners would be well served to update some of the things in the unit to keep pace with what other places can offer.

The location was great. Being so close to the pool with kids was fantastic.

Spent a week with our family of 4 in this condo. It was quiet, clean, and a great home base for us during our vacation.

My family really enjoyed this rental and the pool. I would say the only downside might be if you have young children because the pool has strict rules and the walls and floors are thin. If anyone has trouble being quiet it might be tricky, but it worked well for my family of 5 including 2 adults, a 15 year old, and 2 11 year olds. There were a lot of beach supplies in the closet and plenty of dishes, towels, etc. Overall it was a great experience.
