The first couple of days at this rental were awesome! But then on our last night we had bugs in our bed. I immediately reached out to Vacasa when they were found around 9 pm. The agent answered and said he would send out an urgent alert to the team and they didn’t respond till half way through the next day. We had to check ourselves into a hotel as we were very uncomfortable staying our last night. The team responded eventually but I had to fight for a response every time and I was the one having to constantly reach out. Pest control did an inspection and stated they found no live bugs. We had sent them videos of the bugs and have bites from these bugs. I asked them to then identify the bugs in the video if no live ones were found. They looked very much like bed bugs. In our video there were nothing short of 8-10 of them. They then chose to respond and not address the videos we sent and then I had to request my money back and my late checkout fee. All they gave me was half a night and my late check out fee. First of all I’m very unhappy with that as we did have to now pay for a hotel and then only give us half a night?? And then the fact they didn’t even offer to give us any money back and I had to ask for it once again. I was the one almost constantly reaching out to them for any sort of updates for them to finally tell me what was going on. I’m very disappointed and dissatisfied with this stay and team.

Walking distance to a beach with great snorkeling. Also, close to a major shopping center. Quick drive to KoOloa town for groceries and local shops.

We loved the kitchen, cleanliness, and location.

Pros: great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants and one small beach -everything you need in the kitchen (we made breakfast daily) -beach chairs, cooler, and pool noodles came in handy -comfortable bed -we had no issues with parking -quiet Cons: -the main con is that there is no central AC. There is a small plug in portable unit by the bed which acted more as a cooling fan if you stood right in front of it. The room was regularly the same temperature as outside, even with this thing cranked full blast. As someone who is 7 months pregnant this was a very unwelcome surprise and I had difficulty sleeping because of how hot the room got. Otherwise the unit was as marketed

The apartment was lovely, clean, comfortable, renovated, nice touches. But the parking situation here is awful and, as such, I cannot recommend staying here. The first night we tried to get parking around 7:30pm and there were no spots available because people had parked over the line or so close to the line. The lot and garage have some of the smallest parking spaces I've seen, which likely explains this issue. When we contacted Vacasa about the issue, they could not reach local contacts and provided no help with the situation -- basically said parking is not guaranteed, even though a spot is stated in the listing for the property. For the remainder of the trip, we parked around 4pm and then walked to dinner to avoid coming home after dinner to no spots. This was inconvenient and frustrating. I cannot recommend staying at this resort until they reserve a specific parking space for the unit. If you don't have a car, this is a great unit at a great price (and nice location). Otherwise, I would not book again.

Across the street outside the Beach House restaurant is a wonderful place to see the sunset.
