This was our fifth time staying at Maui Kai so obviously we love the building. Unfortunately 507 was one of our least favorite stays. Extensive rust on front door and fan cover in the very small bathroom. Tiny TV and never could get the cable remote to work.

This is clearly an investment property. No thought has been given to the usability of the kitchen. There were random pots but no lids. There were seven large glass mixing bowls but only one dining bowl. Almost no drinking glasses. Only a few coffee mugs. Random baskets + a steamer without a pot to fit. It was seriously like a bad garage sale. But vacasa stepped in and purchased new items. They turned a frustrating experience in the kitchen into a very usable situation. Thank you so much Vacasa! Otherwise the unit is usable. It definitely could use some improvements. The saltwater and age have rusted quite a bit... But it is still a very decent place to stay now that vacasa has improved the kitchen supplies.

Pay for the view and location. Whales, turtles and dolphins! Boardwalk is so close! Bare minimum furniture and decor (felt like a cheap college dorm). So if you’re here for the view, and you don’t require a “nice place” then this is your place.

This studio is perfect for 1-2 people! The views in itself make this worth renting! We saw turtles and whales from the balcony daily. The beach access on both sides of the property is ideal and the pool/hot tub are great! Extra towels were provided which is always a plus and the kitchen had the basics to get by with cooking some meals at home. Bed was very comfortable. The only negative about the unit was the vents need replacing in the kitchen, bathroom, and possible front door. They’re either very rusted or just dirty. The cleanliness of the space was good in itself though. We will rent again!
