Wailua Bay View 115

The view, 10 ft to the water, surfing from a beach 100ft away, nice clean pool along with whale watching from the lani were some of the best highlights. Friendly neighbors. Didn't feel too safe being on ground floor, people walking by eye high with the Lani railing. Noise from apartment above and bedroom windows was excessive. We slept on the sofa bed and were quite comfortable. Loved the waves crashing once i put a stick in the sliding door to only open a foot. Bath was very dated. Homeless on the beach next door were cool, and friendly.

Lovely lanai view. Very convenient location- shopping, beach walking, easy access to airport and local sights. Highly recommend this condo!

Loved this view and the property was wonderful. We appreciated the use of the AC unit in the bedroom and found the bed comfortable. Vacasa provides a nice 'gift' and starter pack for the stay. The unit is as described but must have the ant problem disclosed to guests (if not addressed)

The unit is very nice. Great view and comfortable place. However, some significant issues that, if corrected,. would make it a 5 star. #1. Our bed sheets on the master bed were stained with urine all over (or some other disgusting yellow stains). #2. Short in the light in the bathroom that could be a fire hazard needs to be fixed right away. #3. Shower is very slow to drain unless you remove stopper completely. #4. No coffee filters. #5. No trash bags. #6 - and this is the worst part. We contacted Vacasa on numerous occasions to report these issues with the promise someone would reach out to us. I tried 4 different times with no follow up at all and FINALLY on the 5th try, the day before we were checking out, a rep actually took initiative and got maintenance out but they were told the issue was with the TV (I saw the work order/text). We never had a problem with the TV. IMO, the main problem is with the central VACASA customer service. The local reps were nice enough but sounds like they never got any of our issues until that 5th try. We own numerous vacation rentals on the Big Island and California. If I were the owner of this "could be" 5 star rental, I would consider getting a new management team. All of these issues could have been taken care of while we were still there if Vacasa followed up as promised and we would have given a 5 star review. Or, even better, there should never be an instance where a guest shows up to urine stained sheets, no coffee filters, no trash bags, etc. There is also a sulpher smell that comes in from time to time due to the recycled water but that didn't really bother us - just something to be aware of. Did any of this ruin our good time? No, but we are laid back Hawaii residents and we love Kauai. Just disappointing that the management team were not responsive to issues. Hopefully they step up for future guests. With all that said, we would likely give this place another try but if similar issues came up, it would be our last.

View was stunning. Great location. Unit has an issue with ants, we weren’t able to store food in the kitchen as a result. Checkin experience was rocky they didn’t give us the right door codes

We enjoyed the spacious unit, nice water views, and in-unit washer and dryer but did not enjoy sharing the unit with a lizard in the bedroom, cockroach in the shower, or ants in the kitchen.
