Puu Poa 101

Property is amazing. So clean and well done with high end finishes. Gorgeous view and so nice to be right next to the 1 hotel. Kitchen has everything you could need and AC worked very well. The WiFi stopped working halfway through our stay and the issue was never resolved. There is little to know cell service so we had to leave property to send texts, make calls or email. This was tricky as we had some medical & work things pop up that could not be handled. There are 3 tvs but we could not use them, no music and we could not look anything up to accurately plan our visit. Of course things happen but no one tried to fix it and they were not very apologetic. This is a red flag as I would not be confident they would be there to help if something else were to go wrong. Wouldn’t book again for that reason , but maybe another unit in Puu poa.

We have been coming to Hawaii for 35 years and have stayed in at least a dozen rentals and even more hotels, including 5 star. This condo was the best decorated and best condition of all. Things weather fast in HI. All the furnishings, rugs, dishes, towels, etc. were perfect. The outdoor furniture was comfortable and a delight to be outside. Outdoor equipment and toys were ready to go. There is a very nice ocean view and you can hear the surf. There is no view of the palis (mountains) like in some units on the other side of the building. This place has been lovingly restored and is perfect for a long stay.

This was our third time to Puu Poa and first time in unit 101. It was by far the nicest condo we have rented there. The place was fully stocked with everything we could want but what made it so special was the lanai. They really did it right when they remodeled and added more outdoor living space. We can’t wait to return!

This unit had a recent, tasteful renovation by an owner that uses the property for her own vacations. Unfortunately, Vacasa does not stock the unit with sugar, salt, or tissue paper / Kleenex, and Vacasa's representative refused to fix this when asked. A two star hotel generally has a K-Cup coffee maker, with sugar and creamer. This $1,000+ (in peak season) VRBO had good local coffee beans but no sugar in the unit. I left sugar for future guests. The bed in the master is a bed in a box type foam mattress that sleeps hot. While the unit has a good view of the ocean, to actually walk to the beach requires hiking down a very, very steep path and then pulling yourself up using the ropes on the side of the path. Most likely you will just drive to a different beach. The unti has good towels, sheets, and linenes, robust internet, large modern TVs, an excellent kitchen with higher end appliances and every cooking tool a chef would want. The unit has quality comfortable furniture in very good condition.

Comfort and style. Our second visit and won’t be the last. Beautiful artwork and high end finishes. The outdoor covered lanai was great for any weather. Good location next door to Hotel 1. Clean and well stocked. Perfect in every way.

This home is what you’d dream of owning if you decided to live in Princeville, Kauai! The attention to detail on everything- the lighting, the furniture, the towels, the decor and the well-appointed kitchen, coffee and wine bar- all incredible. We loved that you can enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of your covered lanai, even when it’s raining. We will for sure book this beautiful condo on our next stay in Kauai!
