Rating
While the stay was fine, the fees associated with this rental are exorbitant for what you are getting. For a 3 night stay, fees alone amounted to nearly $500 ($350 to vicasa, $125 to the front desk excluding parking). This needs to be better communicated PRIOR to booking. Had I known, I would have found a better alternative. Glad I did not book a longer stay. Will not be staying again
We loved the resort We were discussed with the room
Our five nights at this property were excellent. While the unit was a little dated as mentioned in other reviews we found the views, amenities and location were exceptional. There is a closet FULL of snorkels, umbrellas, floaties, boogie boards and more. The cupboards had paper towels, lotion, paper plates/bowls/etc, sunscreen, assorted dishes and so much more. We brought a lot of items not knowing they’d be provided, it was nice to have an assortment of items we ended up needing. I slept on both the upstairs and downstairs beds and the upstairs bed was much preferred but the sofa bed wasn’t terrible, just a bit squeaky. We’d absolutely stay here again. That view off the balcony each night could not be beat. And while you’re looking directly at the resort bar that plays music every night, it wasn’t too loud and we enjoyed it from the balcony. The pool and hot tub were our favorite, such a beautiful resort.
This unit is in rough shape. They also only provide 1 key which made having a nice relaxing vacation quite difficult since we had to continuously coordinate with each other. The shower is awful with almost no water pressure and the handle is broken so it is very hard to get a good temp. The AC doesn’t cool off where the bed is & there are no tables in the unit. No where to eat or set your drink on, etc. The room cost us $2,000+ with all of the additional fees we were hit with at the end. That was for only 6 nights. This room is no where near worth the cost.
Thought I was getting a decent deal but extra unmentioned fees added another $160 for 2 nights and strict 4pm check in and 10a checkout with no wiggle room. Resort is great and room is just fine. The view is solid but half blocked. Bed is in need of replacing and quite uncomfortable. But if you're looking for great sunsets and an amazing beach this place is just fine...you're in Kauai, you should be outside.
