Rating
The location of this room is spectacular. We viewed rainbows directly from the room with no rooftops in front of us three out of five days.
The resort is beautiful and very festive Hawaiian vibes. The room was excellent- just as expected. It was very clean and had everything we expected it to. The bed was comfortable. View from the lanai was nice for enjoying coffee/breakfast in the morning. Something that might be helpful to know- it’s a solid trek downhill from the parking lot to this unit and back up hill on the way back but there are golf cart rides upon request. We would book again.
Great view but just be aware that you have to use the bathroom as your kitchen and there’s no table in the room. Otherwise a lovely unit.
The good: The view from the room is incredible - beach, ocean, mountains, does not get any better. Service was friendly and prompt, even timeshare sales person (Tom?) was friendly and just right amount of information/respect/not pushy. The beach at the resort was nice and quiet, shade trees, decent snorkeling when waves were not pounding. Access to the beach via path or golf cart ride. Grounds of the resort are immaculate, pools very nice and hot tub a great place to relax. Would be nice to have a hot tub at smaller pool as well. The bad: There is really no food variety to speak of - two basic restaurants on the property. Local shopping area (2 miles away) has few more choices - Mexican, Chinese, hamburger. You need to go into Hanalei (5 miles) for more choices, all of them pricey. This goes for all the food on the island - count on spending twice as much as on the mainland US. Car is a must at this property. No microwave at the unit makes it even harder for eating. The ugly: Nickel and dimming at every turn, high taxes. Advertised room rate was $1400, after cleaning fee, booking fee, insurance fee, resort fee, parking fee, topped off with 20% Hawaii tax rate it was over $2900 for 8 day stay.
This cozy room was quiet and has an amazing view. In the morning it was a pleasure to wake up and sit on the balcony.
