Overview

Located in a peaceful neighborhood in the heart of Princeville, surrounded by the elegant Makai Golf Club, Tiki Hale has the delightful charm of home with all the beauty that Kauai's North Shore has to offer. As you pull up to the house, you'll be welcomed by a lush green yard filled with palms and Hawaiian plants, attractive architecture, and high-quality craftsmanship. The interior has been pleasantly renovated with hardwood flooring, high vaulted ceilings, updated cabinets and countertops, and plenty of windows to let in the Hawaiian sunshine. But don't mistake the open feel for any lack of privacy, as the property is surrounded by greenery and tall trees that create a natural barrier. Throw on your swimsuit, take a dip in the private hot tub, then prepare a meal on the grill, a feast in the kitchen, and a drink at the Tiki bar and enjoy the island lifestyle. What's nearby: This home sits right next to the golf course in Princeville, so playing 18 holes is as easy as it gets. The charming town of Hanalei, with its charming shops, great restaurants, and spectacular beach on Hanalei Bay, is less than four miles southwest, so grab the beach chairs and a cooler and head on down. If you're looking for family activities, hit the off-roading trails on an ATV, go ziplining, or find a good picnic site on horseback at Princeville Ranch one mile down the road. What a great home! The location was fantastic, with so many hikes and beaches close by. We had plenty of room as a family of six. The house was clean, wifi was great, and the beach chairs, towels, etc. were wonderful to have. We would definitely choose this home again!

If you’re looking for a crash pad in one of the most beautiful places on earth then you portably won’t mind the broken windows, moldy ac, filthy showers and non existent customer service. The Wi-Fi didn’t work for the first 3 days it finally got fixed because I told them I’d move out without it. This is not a well managed or well cared for home. I expressed this to the local operations manager and she never replied. If you value cleanliness, customer service and quality I wouldn’t book this house. It wouldn’t even cost much to make this home lovely; but it’s clear no one cares enough to do it.

We loved the location and house size. The kitchen had a good amount of supplies, we cooked almost every meal at home. There are plenty of bath and beach towels. There were some random beach equipment, and we loved having chairs, but some better boogie boards would be great. Overall a great house, our main issue is our daughter is in college and she needed good internet for submitting assignments and doing tests, and the internet was terrible.

To start we booked this house specifically so we’d have a price jacuzzi. We both have injuries that need to soak especially with as much walking that vacation intails. My back and his knee. When we got there the jacuzzi did not work. I called and they sent someone out and then did not inform me so I had to call again because it was still not working and I was told they said they already fixed it. Not until the 3rd day did it actually work. On top of that we expected Wi-Fi and working television while staying there. I have bad ptsd and cannot sleep in silence. The tv’s are smart TV’s and only work on Wi-Fi. I called almost every single day requesting that someone come fix the internet and was told EVERY time someone would be contacting me the following day and showing up to fix it. I went through the same phone call every day until we left when I was told I’d be getting some refund and they wouldn’t be able to fix it. After paying an absorbent amount for a place that was missing the two amenities we NEEDED which is why we even booked this huge place for 2 people I am extremely unhappy and was only refunded 237 dollars. On top of all these major issues there was also someone’s only food still in the fridge and an ant problem. I’m just very disappointed. I should not have been spending my extensive vacation calling to have things fixed and getting nowhere.

The oven did not work and I got a whole lot of empty promises but no action from Vacasa the entire time I was there (with 7 hungry people). Also, the ad for the house lists garage access as a special perk but when we got there we were told we could not access the house. The house was just fine (other than the oven and lack of promised access), but I will likely never book a house managed by Vacasa again. Nothing but frustration dealing with them.

Everything about the home was great (except the wifi)... Would recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay around the North Shore:)
