Views and location were great
We would have had a wonderful experience at this unit except we encountered a very upsetting and aggravating problem which spoiled the enjoyment of our stay. The unit has a roof mounted exhaust fan (to vent air from inside the unit to outside). I believe it to be solar powered. In the early morning when sunlight first hits the fan sensors, the fan turns on and it runs continuingly until the sun no longer shines on it. Unfortunately, the noise from the fan motor was annoying loud and very intrusive. As we were having our coffee in the stillness of the morning hours, enjoying the spectacular views, the fan would turn on and the resulting noise would absolutely shatter the peace and serenity of the morning. The fan would run continually as long as the sun was shining on it; there was no way (no electrical switch) to turn it off. Additionally, the fan was mounted above the staircase passage way which acted as a megaphone that amplified the motor noise down into the living area. The resulting loud, constant motor noise turned our expectation of a relaxing and enjoyable experience upside down. This situation was unacceptable given the fact we were paying over $500 per night for this unit. I called Vacasa Guest Support on the morning of April 4 to complain about this problem and requested it be fixed. I subsequently made three additional calls to Vacasa that day. After realizing that no fix was going to made, I ultimately requested that we be relocated to another unit. I was assured someone from management would call me back – no phone call was ever received on April 4 or the next day April 5. On April 6 we still had not received any phone call from Vacasa or anyone else. Late that afternoon I called Vacasa to again notify them that this situation was unacceptable and because of that I was going to contest the billing for this unit. I was extremely disappointed that Vacasa management showed little to no interest in solving this issue.
What a joy it was to stay in this inviting and comfortable unit. It felt like being a guest at someone's abode. Everything was set up for the kind of easy and comfort you would want in your own home. Modern but very cozy decor, excellent beds and linens and a very well equipped kitchen. The biggest surprise was the lanai and views from the breakfast nook - absolutely beautiful - even better than the listing's photos. We've had some recent disappointments with other properties not living up to their billing, so we were cautiously optimistic, but this unit far exceeded our expectations. We'd return (and hope to) in a heartbeat. Thank you.
Lovely property. The views are stunning!! Very quiet even though it’s a massive resort. Very pedestrian friendly. Sidewalks everywhere. Beautiful sunsets. We could see whales from our patio. Other than issues with the WiFi and very little cell coverage, it was both a lovely open concept home and gorgeous Hawaiian setting.
We loved the location in Princeville, with quick access to 1 Hotel, a nearby beach and the town of Hanalei. The condo is nicely appointed, with sophisticated natural and neutral furnishings. We enjoyed the pool and spa that were very close to the condo. The Pali Ke Kua property is nicely landscaped and beautiful!
Loved staying in this beautiful condo. Enjoyed the beautiful views and great location. I really like the updated furniture and modern decor.
