Hale ʻAina Kai

It was a very nice location to Waimea town. Awesome views of Mauna Kea. I’d stay here again.

We needed a place to stay on short notice during a major storm when the Airbnb we had rented became unavailable due to flooding, loss of power and wind. This house in Waimea was already on my Airbnb wish list and when I saw it was available and offered by Vacasa, I immediately switched to my Vacasa app. I made the reservation, we stopped at a store to pick up supplies and drove immediately to the house. Having a garage to unload in was heavenly since it was pouring rain sideways when we arrived. The house itself was very comfortable. We were pretty ragged out by the storm, soaking wet and really enjoyed the large bathtub in the master bedroom. I imagine the view of the mountain is stupendous from the house. Unfortunately, the clouds and rain obscured it. The neighbors were friendly. The cooler temperatures of Waimea made it easy to sleep. It was definitely an experience sleeping with the sound of the rain on the roof. We loved hearing the frogs. There was nice beach stuff we would have used if there hadn't been a major storm going on. The beds were comfortable. It was a miracle for us to find this nice house on a Saturday night during the middle of a rare storm during spring break. Thank you so much.

Quiet Area. Great space to relax!

We loved the location and large home, it was centralized for Hilo ( 1 hr 15 min away) and Kona (45 min away), but even the small town was great, so quiet and very nice well kept town. There is a resort town within 20 min that has a great pool and beach and food (Waikoloa town), so great for families!! 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (with lots of washcloths and towels and shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash AND lotion!) with an amazing large outdoor deck facing the mountain AND faced the sunrise just sipping on coffee....simply stunning, felt and looked like Hawaii 100%!!! The home is a great size that easily sleeps 6 with 2 king beds and 1 queen bed that are comfortable (not rock hard!) and extra blankets with plenty of pillows. Would stay again!
