This condo has a great location for sound of waves of ocean. However - my suggestions for repairs and replace of some appliances ( RUST of dishwasher racks and frig seal ), longer ceiling fan pulls for short people, Has rotted wood floor facings in bathroom, shower door is deteriorating, Commode had to be fixed , it ran water constantly - This is what I don't want the next person to experience for their stay. Respectfully submitted

We spent Thanksgiving here with extended family and loved the condo! This is the second time we have stayed with extended family and have rented four condos to accommodate everyone. Every one of the condos was clean and well stocked. We had an amazing time and throughly relaxed and enjoyed being together!

Overall, this is a great spot in Maui—we’ve stayed here before and really liked it. But just a heads-up: as of May 2025, there’s ongoing construction that wasn’t disclosed by the owner or Vacasa. They were redoing the common grassy area and landscaping - most of the grassy area is mud / dirt right now including immediately outside our our room. Sprinklers would go on and off throughout the day, meaning you’d either get soaked or have to wait to cross the shared grassy/pool area. Landscaping work was happening all week. Most of the apartments were roped off with yellow construction tape, which kind of ruined the vibe. Unfortunately, this all came as a surprise when we arrived. Had we known ahead of time, we would’ve booked somewhere else to avoid the construction hassle. It honestly felt a bit deceptive not to disclose this— the only response we got from Vacasa was a flat “truly sorry to hear that.”

The property is always well manicured and exactly what we have come to love and expect from the Mahina Surf. This unit is adorable and everything the two of us needed. The bedroom door was slightly difficult to close but that’s the least of our concerns. Great experience all the way around.

Away from the crowds at Kananapali, right on the ocean, literally! Wonderful spot if you are not needing a beach. Fabulous grilling on the water while watching whales breach. Our fridge was on the Fritz but fixed within hours so nothing spoiled - fast friendly response.
