Mahina Surf 222

Location was excellent.

We recently stayed at this unit and overall had a mixed experience. The view was very nice, and we were lucky enough to see turtles, which was amazing. The pool was decent, and our kids really enjoyed playing there. It was also nice that the pool area wasn’t loud or overcrowded. The common areas were very beautiful and well maintained, which made the property feel welcoming. However, we did experience some cleanliness concerns inside the unit. On the second day, we found a large cockroach, and on the following day, we saw two more and a baby cockroach in the kitchen. This made us feel that the unit had not been thoroughly cleaned. Since we were traveling with a baby, we had baby items, pacifiers, and bottles in the kitchen area that we had to clean again ourselves, and it made us uncomfortable not being sure where it was safe to lay items flat to dry. We did notice a lizard in the unit, but that was not particularly disturbing and is somewhat expected in tropical areas. The sofa bed was not usable. We used it the first night, but after that we left it folded and used it as a sofa instead of opening it. The other beds also seemed past their useful life and were uncomfortable. In general, the furniture appears worn and in need of replacement. The unit itself is older and due for remodeling, which we expected since the renovated units are priced higher. That said, improved cleaning and updating the furniture would make a significant difference in comfort and overall experience.

Mahina Surf is a wonderful spot, grounds and units are very well maintained. Units all look out on to heated pool and grassy area. Units 222 worked out great for our family of 5.

Everything was great

The room was plenty of space for our group. It has a great view. Most condos of this style don’t have ac, but this one has the benefit of actually getting enough ocean breeze to keep it cool enough on a warm day

We loved the location, the views were amazing and we were close to a lot of things. The condo was well equipped and super clean. Only downside was the pots and pans should be replaced, but if you’re not doing much cooking this won’t matter. I highly recommend this condo!
