One of the best beaches in the world, Kiahuna Beach, is a quick walk away. Sunbathe in the warm sand or raise your adrenaline with exciting water sports like surfing and snorkeling. When you need a break from the salt, head over to the Poipu Club’s pool with a diving board, hot tub, and sandy-bottomed kids’ area. The club also houses one of the only fitness facilities on the island, with weights and cardio machines. Whether you want to find the perfect souvenir or give the cook a break, numerous shopping and dining options are mere minutes away. The Poipu Shopping Center is across the street. A large picture window and sliding glass doors let natural light flood the comfortable living room. Kick back on the sofa bed and watch TV or flex your cooking muscles in the simple and practical kitchen, complete with full-size appliances and windows that open to the living and dining rooms. The four-person dining table is the perfect spot for family meals or fun board games. Out on the private lanai, you can dine alfresco at another four-person table, or settle in with a good book in one of the two loungers. Other helpful amenities include free WiFi in the condo, as well as coin-operated laundry and a large grilling area on the grounds. Start your day off with a latte from local favorite Little Fish Coffee, then pop into a few boutiques at Poipu Shopping Village. From there, the world is your oyster. Stroll through famous Moir Gardens, home to rare orchids and cacti, or grab a towel and some sunscreen and make the short walk down to award-winning Poipu Beach for paddleboarding, swimming, and sunbathing. Depending on the season, you may even spot some breaching whales!

This home at Kiahuna Plantation offers access to the resort's communal pool, hot tub, and gym, with resort access and a safe on site. The 35 acre grounds are lushly landscaped with gardens and outdoor seating, just a short walk from the beach.

The neighborhood: Poipu is Kauai's sunny south shore beach town, known for easy access to sand, water, meals, and family friendly resort time. Kiahuna Beach is a quick walk away for swimming, snorkeling, and surf play, while the Poipu Beach Athletic Club offers a pool, diving board, hot tub, sandy bottom kids area, and fitness room. Poipu Shopping Village is close for dining and browsing. It is a convenient choice for families who want beach days to be simple and everyone to have something to do.

Getting around: Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

Club membership provides you with access to one of the island's only fitness centers with a cardio room and weight pavilion; use of the resort pool, waterslide, hot tub, and sand-bottomed kiddie section; tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts; shuffleboard; yoga and water aerobics classes; and more! • The guest laundry facility at Kiahuna Plantation Resort is located at the far eastern end of the property. It is a shared facility available on-site for guests staying in units.
