The location of this property is prime, and the view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The house itself is extremely old, poorly maintained, and dirty. There were bugs everywhere, and many parts of the property appear to be falling apart. The most serious issue, however, was the unbearable heat inside the house. During our stay, indoor temperatures were well over 85°F, making it impossible to relax or enjoy our vacation. In fact, we often couldn't even stay in the house during the day because it was so uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the large ceiling fan in the main living area did not work. When we called to report it, we were told it was "decorative", despite there being a remote control for it. That response perfectly summed up the level of care and concern shown toward guests. We feel extremely disappointed and misled. The beautiful listing photos do not reflect the actual condition of the property. What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. Unless you enjoy suffering through heat, dirt, bugs, and neglect, stay away from this rental. It genuinely seems that the owner has little concern for their guests' comfort, well-being, or safety.

I love the view of the ocean from every angle of the house. It's beautiful. I love the property. I love the location. The house was very accommodating. I really enjoyed the house. I would love to come to that house again. Even with some of its problems, but was really nice.

The view is unparalleled. Turtles, sunsets, moonsets, etc. Enjoyed having pirvate bathroom with the bedrooms. Outside seating good...maybe for chairs for outside(we used dining room chairs) Original house built in 1936...I have not idea how they did it on the lava rock. Vacasa was wonderful to deal with...It was a terrific experience.

The views and sound out weigh any negatives you may read. The house is older and needs cosmetic work and for the price you pay it could use a pool etc. The owner has it listed for sale for 30 million, good luck, and this is obvious why the house won't be updated however that is their choice. The critters you read about were very view but c'mon folks these guys are to be expected, a gecko or two and a few other tropical visitors hurt no one. We saw very view, NOT A PROBLEM! The house is in walking distance of Poipu, 10 min stroll to the beach and the green sea turtles. Walk on the deck and you will see them swim everyday, every hour of every day. At night the sounds of the crashing waves is mesmerizing. Gather up ten people split the costs and enjoy Kauai! Aloha and Mahalo.

Very comfortable house with lots of seating areas and balconies to view the beautiful ocean, whales and turtles. Well stocked house for cooking. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogie boards and masks/snorkels/fins were much appreciated. Extremely responsive staff with clear check in and check out instructions. Would love to return if we are in Kauai again.

Best house on the block. Incredible location to say the least. Bring your camera for sure. nothing else to say. Loved it.
