Wake up each morning to a view of Mauna Kea from your bedroom at this two-story condo in Waikoloa Hills. Enjoy 20-foot vaulted ceilings, gorgeous natural light throughout the day, and wonderful community amenities for when you're not out exploring the Big Island. Waikoloa Hills is conveniently and centrally located, with The Village Course at Waikoloa immediately west. The complex features an outdoor saltwater pool, a hot tub, a barbecue area with gas grills (in addition to your private grill), and reserved parking. Hop in the car for a quick drive to Puakō Petroglyph Park (nine miles) and 49 Black Sand Beach (10 miles). Sip a cup of local coffee outside on the lanai, prepare a hearty breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, and grab a swimsuit from the washer/dryer on your way out the door to the pool or the beach. Coming home, you can get dinner going on the gas grill, sit outside with a sunset view, and spend the evening hours streaming movies and playing board games. When it's time to turn in, you'll find both bedrooms are paired with newly remodeled bathrooms.

Guests may use the community's shared outdoor pool, hot tub, and BBQ area. This unit has air conditioning, an in-unit washer and dryer, outdoor seating, and a private entrance. Golf-course and mountain views are part of the setting.

The neighborhood: Waikoloa Hills is in Waikoloa Village, an inland Kohala Coast community with mountain views and a quieter residential feel. The Village Course is immediately nearby, and the village center offers groceries and casual essentials. Drive out to Puako Petroglyph Park for a look at Hawaiian cultural sites or to 49 Black Sand Beach for a striking stretch of shoreline. The beaches and resort restaurants of Waikoloa Beach Resort are also an easy outing by car. This area is best for guests who enjoy exploring beyond the resort strip.

Getting around: Kona International Airport (KOA) is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Waikoloa along the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended for beaches, restaurants, and resort shopping. Some dining and shops within Waikoloa Beach Resort are walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or at local properties.
