Getting around: Kona International Airport (KOA) is about 25 to 30 minutes from Waikoloa Village. A rental car is recommended because coastal beaches, resort shopping, and dining are a short drive from this upcountry golf community. The village center has a few walkable shops and places to eat. Parking is typically available at properties or in nearby lots without much difficulty.
