Overview

Wake up each morning to a gorgeous view of Kona Town, rustling palms, and the sparkling ocean horizon at this third-floor escape in the Kalanikai Condos. This is an island haven for lounging poolside, exploring the town on foot, and taking in spectacular nightly sunsets from your private, shaded lanai. This condo is the perfect escape for those who want to leave their car behind (in the assigned parking space provided). Within a half-mile stroll, you'll find the Kona Farmers Market, Kailua Pier, wonderful restaurants, several markets for your grocery needs, and a number of shops and recreational outfitters. When it's time to hit the beach (with the provided boogie boards, beach chairs, and umbrella in tow), Keiki Beach, Kailua Beach, and Honl's Beach are all within one mile. Begin each morning with a mug of Kona coffee, an alfresco breakfast, and a panoramic view outside on your lanai. Save the rest of the day for relaxing downstairs, whether you're taking a dip in the outdoor pool or barbecuing in the grilling and picnic area. Inside, a mirrored entryway leads into a bright, open, and breezy living space, where you can bask in the comfort of air conditioning or slide open the floor-to-ceiling lanai doors to let in the fragrant, tropical breeze. It's a space equipped with every comfort, including a kitchen with updated appliances, both a breakfast bar and a glass-top dining table, and a cable TV for nightly movies. There's a second TV (with Chromecast only) in the bedroom to lull you to sleep. Additional features include a washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits and beach towels nightly and complimentary WiFi throughout. This was a last minute booking and so glad we did. Yes the 3 flights of stairs is a little, exhausting, HOWEVER, it was such a great place to stay. Super clean. The main road is a bit noisy but didn’t prevent me from sleeping it’s fine. It’s close to everything which was great. The pool area was clean and everyone was really nice. Whether they were visitors or those that live in the condos every one was respectful. The pool area was nice and quiet!! The room had sand toys, there’s floats, boogie board, lots of towels and the laundry was so nice to have!! The kitchen was stocked with whatever utensils were needed. The only thing I wish it had as a visitor would be a medium cooler and a wagon. A lot of the amazing beaches are a walk from the parking lot. All in all definitely love to stay there again in the future.

To be honest the only really great thing I found was the property's proximity to Kona downtown it's a 5-7 minute walk. But not mentioned in the property description was the noisy busy main street it's right next to which had I known about I might have thought twice about renting. You do see the ocean from the lanai but trying to enjoy it with noisy traffic spoiled it. The interior is old but doable. Amenities are ok and you have what you need.

Good Wifi. Office chair for comfortable working. Walking distance to supermarket, large shopping and downtown. Quiet. Kitchen ready for cooking. Some extras such as salt, pepper, spices, etc. Dish washing detergent. Thank you for nuts and welcome package. We got in late so was much appreciated. We were only two, but would comfortably fit a small family. Toilet with bidet. Is value for money option for anyone staying three or more days. Gives the feel you are borrowing the apartment of a good friend.

Location is great! Building property is nice…. But in the condo the furniture is tired… very tired. A/C in living area… not in bed room! Hawaii is hot and humid. Wifi worked in living area but was sketchy in bedroom. We also had a visitor of a cockroach while we were there.. yes, Hawaii is expensive, but you need to get some value for your stay. This was disappointing as we have stayed in other Kona locations and were pleased
