Hale Pau'ole

First of all, this is definitely one of the cleanest houses I’ve ever stayed in! The surroundings are quiet with beautiful tropical views. The gas fireplace was such a lifesaver on the wet and windy days. The kitchen had everything we needed. We went on a family trip with seven adults, and it accommodated us comfortably. The coded gate also provided an extra sense of security. Highly recommend!

New house with excellent kitchen appliances. A chef could be very happy here. Family friendly. Beautiful surrounding yard with native trees and birds. Bring binoculars.

It was not shared until after we booked and paid that the house does not have potable water and you have to bring your own. And there are no supermarkets nearby for shopping for large containers. Other homes in the area have filtered rainwater that is potable. So maybe there is something wrong with their system temporarily but they offered no explanation so I have reason to think so. Another think that was lame but not a big deal is they asked us to take our trash to the dump after check out. Again, not something other vacation rentals in the area have asked for.

Kitchen has every amenity you could need. Has many packaged condiments and a bit of coffee for a day or two. Bedrooms large and comfortable. Be aware as of now there are no window treatments. I have noted to Vacasa. It is a beautiful house, large kitchen open concept with large living room. There is limited dining options in Volcano. If bringing food get it in Hilo or Kona.

We had a wonderful stay at this rental home! The house is spacious with a fantastic open layout, and it was very clean when we arrived. It had everything we needed, making it the perfect home for our family of four to relax and spread out after two long days exploring Volcano National Park. The location is ideal—just about 10 minutes from the park entrance. A couple of minor drawbacks: the internet was extremely slow and almost non-existent due to reliance on satellite service, so working from the house isn’t feasible. Additionally, the multiple reed diffusers throughout the house, each with a different scent, were a bit overwhelming. Overall, despite these small issues, the house was fantastic and we would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!
