Its central location makes walks to the beach to swim and relax just minutes away, or you can roam the farmer's market, shops, and many restaurants conveniently located nearby. There is also a shared, freshwater pool on-site if you'd rather stay close to home. What's nearby: Take a short walk to Carlsmith Park next door for a dip in the ocean where the lagoons create calm swimming areas and provide protection from the surf. The four-mile stretch of different swimming coves in this area (called Keaukaha) is a wonderful location to introduce children and newcomers to the water. Keep an eye out for our local Hawaiian monk seal 'mama' and her children who sometimes pop up on shore in this neighborhood, but don't disturb them as they are very endangered. Next to beach, when surf is calm good for snorkeling, turtles, beautiful lava rocks beach. Great historical and delicious across the street restaurant! Fully stocked kitchen, linens, etc

We've stayed at this location for 7 days in January and we enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment complex is located right by Carlsmith beach park, which is great for swimming and snorkeling, or just relaxing, and about 1 mile away from Onekahakaha beach park which is great for babies and toddlers and not only. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The sound of the coqui frog at night was very soothing.

Nice 2 bedroom, one bathroom apartment on the 6th floor in Hilo! No AC but fans, and it was totally fine for us. The nearby beach is absolutely breathtaking and easy to walk to! My kids and I had a lot of fun walking everyday to enjoy it! The main reason I took off a star is that you’re on the 6th floor and the downstairs neighbor came up a bit prematurely (in our opinion) when our kids were making noise. We were trying to get them to quiet down (they are toddlers so harder for them to understand). They were making noise and we were trying to handle it, but she came up quickly to let us know we were being noisy. It wasn’t during quiet hours. I recommend this place, but if you have young children- may want to reconsider. It became stressful for us to try to keep them quieter.

The apartment was stinky as soon as we entered it wad hard for us to even breathe. Probably cause of moisture. The carpet in the dining area looked pretty old. The bathroom mirror was not clean it had mold which was visible . Some of the dishes weren't clean. Called vacasa regarding the issue. They weren't helpful at all. Very disappointed
