If you feel like taking a dip in the ocean or finding a boat to take you onto the water, you can head two and a half miles south to Keauhou Bay for a day on the water. The heart of downtown Kona is on the ocean front on Ali'i drive where you can spend a day exploring, smelling the fresh ocean air, dining at one of the many open-air restaurants or shopping at a local retailer or the Farmer's Market.
