Overview
See everything the Waikoloa area has to offer with this beautiful Hawaiian villa just 2 miles from the beach! After a day at the beach, you'll love rinsing off the sand in the outdoor shower surrounded by attractive lava rock and open the door to feel the cool A/C throughout the home. You can see the mountain from your fully equipped kitchen as you walk your morning coffee out to the back lanai to catch some early sunrise colors. This villa is available separately, or you can rent it along with the Star of Waikoloa Ohana. Waikoloa Golf is only a mile and a half away while Mauna Lani and Francis Brown courses are no more than five miles away. Everyone in the family will find something at either Queen's Marketplace or King's Shops whether it's catching a movie, grabbing a coffee at Starbucks or Daylight Mind, having a 'pau hana' at A-Bay's, or buying fresh produce at one of the many local stores. Finally, treat yourself to a sunset dinner and drinks just a few miles away at Lava Lava Beach Club where you can dine and drink with your toes right in the sand. For your sandy excursions, drive roughly six miles and you'll find the famous Hapuna Beach, a part of the Gold Coast. During your stay, just minutes away, enjoy the Waikoloa Hilton Resort where you can purchase a day pass for access to their facilities including five pools with slides and waterfalls. This home is a subunit of Star of Waikoloa. If you require unshared access to the property, please consider renting the entire home. Star of Waikoloa Ohana can also be rented separately.
Guests have a private, step-free entrance, lanai, outdoor seating, BBQ grill, kitchen, WiFi, washer, dryer, and air conditioning. A lit path serves the entrance. There are no shared resort amenities, making this a self-contained Waikoloa home for independent stays near the coast.
The neighborhood: Waikoloa is made for sunny Big Island days, with Anaehoʻomalu Bay, coastal golf, and resort dining all within easy reach. Spend a morning at A-Bay, where historic fishponds sit behind the sand, then head to Queens' MarketPlace or Kings' Shops for a meal and supplies. The wider Kohala Coast opens up for beach hopping, snorkeling, and sunset drives, while Waikoloa itself feels relaxed and practical. It is a strong base for travelers who want the Big Island's dry, beach-forward side.
Getting around: Kona International Airport (KOA) is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Waikoloa along the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended for beaches, restaurants, and resort shopping. Some dining and shops within Waikoloa Beach Resort are walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or at local properties.

Ample room, beautiful kitchen
We enjoyed the house itself. It’s modern and comfortable, with ample living spaces and a nice patio. However, we were unaware that there was a subunit on the front of the house and when those guests arrived back to the house late at night and then were loud for two hours, we lost sleep. Thankfully, the unit wasn’t occupied for most of our trip. There’s dishes in the kitchen but no other basics. We even had to buy salt. The last 5 days of our trip, when we had the house to ourselves, was great.
The house was wonderfully clean, spacious, decorated and very well stocked. It was so nice to be able to use the beach chairs, toys and towels the last day of our visit so we didn't have to unpack ours. We immensely enjoyed sitting on the back patio enjoying the breeze and the gorgeous volcano view. Sunset is the absolute best from the pack patio. Our little ones enjoyed playing in the backyard as well. They also loved having the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. It felt incredibly private, lots of shopping, food and beach selections nearby. One of my favorite stays!!!
Well appointed and spacious rental, 10 out of 10, would recommend!
We lived in Waimea for 14 years and we were back to see friends and visit favorite beaches, locations and restaurants all over the island. It was perfect and such easy access.
Backyard and house had all the thing you need to enjoy your vacation.
