The Keoniana #111 - 30-Night Minimum

We loved that our daughter felt safe during her 4 months stay, most important. The house has a manger during the day and security during the night - and the minute we met them they promised to look out for her, really nice team at The Keoniana. Location is great for students, condo has a perfect size and a better sofa as in the photo. Bus to HPU around the corner. Parking spot a big plus. Food trucks at the other side of the street, stores for food close by. Short walk to the restaurants and other "tourists" locations, to the beaches. BUT AC could really be a more powerful model, better fans in both rooms are necessary. And please guests - don't leave your own old stuff when you leave....

Good location Good security Minor problems but nothing couldn't handle or temporarily fix

The neighborhood and building are nice. The apartment is roomy, but the floors and upholstered furniture were very dirty. I scrubbed the floors and washed all the slip covers on both sofas. The bathroom needed a deep clean. The shower tub/stall especially and honestly should be replaced. The living room area rug was really dirty and I asked Vacasa to send someone to clean it. They never did. I replaced the balcony rug which was filthy on my dime. I called and emailed Vacasa many times and never received a response. Only when I called about a broom and cleaning the rug did I speak to someone. Also, the 2 upholstered chairs, which I tried to clean unsuccessfully, should be replaced. They are very dirty and the legs are ready to buckle. I have the Vacasa app and there was no checkout info. Not even an email or text. I called the morning of my checkout after 2 months in the unit and finally spoke to someone in the Maui office who told me to leave the keys in the unit. I told them I was leaving at 10:30am. At 10am the cleaners arrived and I received a phone call from someone else at Vacasa saying check out was at 10am. Who knew? To the owners… you’re welcome for the deep clean and the new rug. To Vacasa… you all have to be more responsive. Especially to renters who pay outrageous prices for poor services.

The location of this rental could not be better. It is close to everything and you can walk to food as well as entertainment. The view from the lanai is also very nice, and very comfortable to sit outside most of the time. we stayed at this property for approximately six weeks. We found the bed and the sofa to be extremely uncomfortable. It made being in the home difficult, because there was nowhere that you could be where you could sit in a comfortable area. The sofa has a very low back and a very narrow seat, so there’s no way to comfortably relax on it. The bed is very old and has a giant dip in the middle, we had to go out and buy $120 mattress pad just to make it bearable and even then my husband chose to spend most of the nights out on the tiny sofa. The kitchen also lacks some basic appliances like a toaster oven. I also felt like there was not enough dishes or flatware to accommodate us for six weeks. I would’ve appreciated more items left in the home for us when we first arrived. There was only one roll of toilet paper and one trash bag. There is also only one kitchen towel in the kitchen. The living room got a little warm but the bedroom was kept at a nice temperature. The in-suite washer and dryer was a nice perk. If it were not for the location, I would’ve given this residence a three star review. For as much as we paid for six weeks, I would’ve liked to have spent the time comfortable rather than constantly complaining about the sofa and the bed. There was also no television in the Bedroom. We had to buy one and then return it when we left. If you are coming to Waikiki for vacation and you plan to spend almost no time in the home, I think this would be a fine rental. But if you were planning to stay for more than a few weeks, I think I would choose a place that had a little bit more of the creature comforts that we are used to at home. The WiFi was pretty good; I know some people had complained about it but my husband worked from home and didn’t have too many pretty usual issues. The decor is nice and the place was clean. The lanai is the standout of the rental.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Keoniana! The condo is exactly as shown in the pictures. It’s beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The owner, Vasca team, property manager and security staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The area was quiet and still close to everything. The garage was a perfect fit for our large SUV too. I definitely recommend a stay here!!
