This condo is a one-bedroom, single-bath oceanview retreat. This home was recently remodeled with a new kitchen furnished with cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. You'll love the tropical décor and furnishings throughout. This condo is on the second floor with a 60-inch flatscreen TV and free WiFi. There is a covered lanai with nice furniture to hang out on whenever you're not out surfing the fantastic Molokai waters. You'll also have access to a shared pool, a cabana, grills, shared laundry facilities, and our tropically landscaped grounds, plus a beautiful ocean view. When you're ready to turn in for the night, you'll have a well-appointed bedroom to take advantage of, and there is a queen sleeper sofa available in the living room.

The neighborhood: Wavecrest’s Molokai setting gives families a quieter way to be in Hawaii. Kaunakakai Town is your practical stop for groceries, casual food, and local shops, while the coast outside keeps the channel views toward Maui and Lanai in the picture. The resort grounds make it easy to build a day around the pool, beach, or a cookout without much planning. When you want to venture out, rural roads lead toward the island’s less developed east end. This is for travelers who value scenery, room to breathe, and time together over big crowds. What's nearby: 38 miles long and only 10 to 15 miles wide, Molokai is the smallest of the main Hawaiian chain. The west side is arid and dry, and during the winter, the beaches are great for surfing, while summer guests love snorkeling and swimming. The eastern side is lush and tropical with miles of barrier reef in front. Molokai's north side is famous for having the world's highest sea cliffs which rise some 3,000 feet out of the ocean. The 2774-acre Kamakou Forest Preserve on Molokai overlooks these sea cliffs and is home to endangered birds and over 200 Hawaiian plants that grow only in this preserve. Molokai's south side is where you will find our main town of Kaunakakai, plus a handful of tourist and art shops, two full-service grocery markets, a health food store, a bakery, and even a wine and cheese shop. You'll also find some shopping in the villages of Kualapu'u and Maunaloa.

Getting around: Molokai Airport (MKK) is about 10 to 15 minutes from Kaunakakai. A rental car is recommended because the island is spread out, though the town center is walkable for local shops, the harbor, and casual dining. Beaches and the scenic east end are farther away by road. Parking is simple and uncrowded, matching the relaxed pace of this quiet island.
