An elevator and disabled parking spot make getting around easy, and the beachfront setting puts the sand just outside. Some resort facilities are operated independently by the resort.

The neighborhood: Keawakapu Beach stretches along the South Kihei and Wailea edge, giving this location a beach-forward feel with town conveniences nearby. Walk the sand in the morning, swim or snorkel when conditions permit, then explore South Kihei's coffee shops and casual restaurants. Wailea's beaches and dining are a short outing in the other direction. It is a strong fit for couples who want the coast close enough that a sunset stroll can be an ordinary part of the evening.

Getting around: Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
