We love the view, and the sound of the ocean which is just steps away from your lania. The units are always spotless, and we find them very comfortable.

Sugar beach is simply the best location on Maui. My family has stayed at the resort 28 times. Each unit is individually owned. We were at unit 134 for a month. The unit was well equipped in the kitchen, grounds are immaculate and public grills are such a bonus, they are cleaned daily. There were maintenance issues, sliding screen door to the ocean was not attached when we arrived, after a few days and no response from Vacasa my husband fixed it himself, peeling paint hanging in 4 spots in living room, also major cracks running in ceiling, slider drapes were absolutely filthy, bathroom sink was clogged and dryer vent needed to be addressed and or cleaned. With 3 phone calls to Vacasa and 3 visits to the office , an email with pictures sent we received not one response from Vacasa. Not acceptable! I have pictures of these issues. The ladies in the office at Sugar Beach Brandi, Jo and Ida were delightful and sympathetic. They made calls on our behalf to Vacasa and spoke with a gentleman at Vacasa, NO RESOONSE TO US during our 30 day stay. Unit 134 could be such a wonderful place to stay, right on the beach if the maintenance issues were addressed which could all be handled in a short period of time.

We love the ground floor unit for easy access to the beach. This location of this unit is much more quiet than others we have stayed in. Looking forward to returning next year.
