Island Sands Resort 208

We had 6 in our party, we stayed March 18 - 21, the price was reasonably split between the 6 of us, and the location was 15 minutes (max) away from most main areas that we visited (malls, food truck stops, the conference we attended, and even Krispy Kreme). Due to the weather during this time we weren’t able to complete most of our plans but still, the stay was beautiful. The only complaint our party had was that, upon arrival the carpet was soaked near the balcony sliding door. We assume it was due to the storm passing through. The maintenance crew handled it quickly, and tho we were offered another room we felt like it wasn’t needed. A big Mahalo to Vacasa and all who make these kinds of things possible ✨

This condo is dated and with that comes lower expectations. The lower expectations do come with the expectation that things work and are clean though. This condo had roaches in mulitple rooms. (kitchen and bedroom) The screen doors were ripped and fell off the tracks. The main bathroom had a broken shower door and handheld shower bracket that forced you to hold it the entire shower. The fan in the room sounds like it's going to explode when you turn off the light. Then when you go to leave the bathroom the door gets stuck so you're left to feel trapped. I didn't enjoy finding this out with my child stuck in the bathroom crying. The bed...oh the bed...I cannot describe to you how very uncomfortable this bed was. Plywood is the only word that comes to mind. My husband delveloped back issues on this trip. The couch is prickly and the couch matress needs a refresh or some febreeze. I contacted the management to ask for a refund and they did acknowledge that the state of this unit was not up to their company expectations, and offered a measly $75. Some positives of this condo: the view is amazing, super close to elevator and those are quick. Koi pond right outside the front door. There is a screen door on the unit so you get awesome airflow through it. The pool appears to be heated and there are towels supplied in the unit.

There are other 2 bedroom units, ocean view, updated and bright, available to rent from Vacasa, that we would prefer over this unit. Island Sands is a great location with beautiful ocean views and walking distance to the beach.
