You will be within four miles of Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach, among others. The neighborhood: Mahina Surf is in Honokowai on West Maui's shoreline, a quieter stretch north of busy Kaanapali. It gives your group an oceanfront place to exhale, while beach days stay close: Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach are all within about four miles. Pick up fresh fish at Fish Market Maui, less than a mile away, then come home for sunset by the water. It is a relaxed base for families and friends who want West Maui beaches without staying in the middle of the resort bustle.

Getting around: Kahului Airport is about 40 to 45 minutes away along Maui's west side coastline. A rental car is recommended for reaching beaches, shopping, and dining along the coast. Kaanapali, Kapalua, and Lahaina-area destinations are a drive away, while nearby beaches are often just minutes from the complex. Parking is typically available in designated lots, though it can fill up at popular beaches and restaurants.
