Incredible location, right on the water. Whale watching from the lanai was amazing. Beach access was great. Nice private quiet pool area.

This condo is one of the best locations I have found. It is perfectly situated to watch whales, turtles, and the sunset all at the same time. You can also easily reach the Kaanapali beach path. Other than some maintenance issues that Vacasa investigated, it was a perfect stay.

Another Outstanding stay at Maui Kai 707. We love this location and this unit. The entire experience was smooth from booking, to check-in, and through departure. Amazing location and great unit with everything you need. They really take care of everything. Only concern is how the new law on Maui for short term rentals will affect our ability to continue to stay here.

The good: the view from the lanai is amazing. Every Maui Kai condo will have this. Maui Kai is our favorite place to stay because of this but if you’re traveling with kids and want more amenities such as a big pool or large green area you’ll want to find another property. The not so good: This property specifically needs some attention unfortunately. We stayed in a different unit last year (504) and a family member stayed in 607 this year and both of those units are much better equipped and overall more comfortable. During our stay we noticed the following broken items: Patio door, telescope and beach umbrella. The toilet and fridge had minor issues as well. There’s only one beach chair so be prepared to share or rent an additional one. The lanai only has 2 chairs and a small table. We spent most of our time on our family member’s lanai since they had a bigger table and couch. That unit also had binoculars to whale watch which are a must have. Overall we love Maui Kai and had a great time but there are definitely better units available.

We stayed here for a special occasion and to enjoy some much-needed R&R. The oceanfront view was the highlight of our staycation. We loved watching turtles and manta rays right from the lanai. The welcome coffee, well-equipped kitchen, well-stocked bathroom, and comfortable AC were much appreciated, though having a small bathroom trash can would have been convenient. The host was responsive, although the early check-in notice came too close to our arrival time for us to take advantage of it. The condo mostly matched the photos; however, a few items needed attention: the telescope was disassembled and rusty (unclear if functional or decorative), the lanai door had a sign indicating it was partially out of order and didn’t fully operate, and there were some cleaning and maintenance issues such as dirty floors and kitchenware, a leaking fridge, a sloped sofa, rusty lanai chairs, a running toilet, and a dishwasher that stopped working after one use. Minor maintenance and a few furniture updates could significantly enhance the experience. The studio is comfortable for two people. The oceanfront views, along with the amenities, helped balance out the cleanliness and maintenance concerns. Overall, we felt it offered fair value for a budget-friendly oceanfront stay. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!

The unit was nicely updated and the views can't be beat. It was great falling asleep to the waves crashing every night. The place seemed generally well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. The AC got nice and cold. The little welcome gift was much appreciated and a nice gesture.
