River Escape On The Toccoa River

Blue Ridge is home of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and is adjacent to great hiking in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests, also the beginning/end of the Appalachian Trail. The Toccoa River changes names to the Ocoee River at the Tennessee border in McCayesville. There is great year-round trout fishing from Blue Ridge Dam (Tammen Park access) to Curtis Switch down to McCayesville. Less than 30 minutes from the cabin is fantastic guided whitewater rafting on the Ocoee, home of 1996 Olympic slalom course. The highest falls in GA, Amicalola Falls, is a quick 45minute drive.
