On The Lake - Main House

This place is awesome. We were there for 2 weeks. Fantastic views. The dock worked well for our 22' pontoon boat. The other lakeside amenities were also great. We had several campfires in the fire pit, went on long rides in the kayaks, and enjoyed swimming in the lake. We had 10 people at one point and it did not feel crowded inside. The side porch was perfect for our family to gather for meals and just hang out. The beds were good, the bathrooms were good, and the WiFi worked well. We made many great meals in the kitchen. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Main House on the lake. I love that there are plenty of places to congregate in the house. My husband and I, as early rises enjoyed drinking our coffee and conversing on the porch overlooking the lake away from the bedrooms and our sleeping adult children. I love all the windows letting in light and gorgeous views of the lake. The home is very easy to get to, close to Rabun Boathouse, Max’s Lakeside restaurant, and a short drive to get groceries. My knees love that the house is so close to the lake and dock, and only a few steps. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We had everything we needed to cook with-mixer, crockpot, colander, skillet , etc. we did quite a bit of cooking. We enjoyed the kayaks and floats.

My tennis team had a 3 night trip and absolutely loved the house, the view, the porches, fire pit, well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We also rented their pontoon boat and had 4 hours of a wonderful boat ride around the lake. The owner was very responsive to questions. There were nearby restaurants and shops and on Saturday night we went to the town square for a Bluegrass Jam. Were already planning for next year!!😊

The setting of this house is stunning. It's tucked away on a cove but still has a wide open view of the lake. The porch leading to the boat house is the perfect place for your morning coffee and snack while listening to the birds sing and watch the mist rise off the lake. It is easy to lose your concerns and just be present. The kitchen has everything you could need for several guests and gas grill worked perfectly for our burgers and chicken. The beds are very comfortable and provided restful sleep. If you are up for some kayaking on the lake, don't miss your opportunity to do so. The house comes with kayaks, life vests and paddles. It was very relaxing to get out on the water. Or if you just want to go for a swim, the dock is perfect for easing into the water. If you prefer to stay inside, the living room provides a great view with comfortable chairs and a large TV. There is something for everyone.
