Had a wonderful time will be back next year
Rustic and perfect for base for hiking or exploring the mountains. Very quiet and tucked away in nature. Kitchen is well stocked for guests. Great board games and a screened porch for listening to the river.
The location of this house is fantastic. It is creek side which is really special. Out the front door and 250 feet to the left is an amazing state park with miles of trails. You’ll see waterfalls, the creek, it’s really beautiful. The house is comfortable enough. It’s the location that really makes the place special.
Privacy, well stocked cabin. Total comfort.
We loved the location and setting. The house accommodated our party of 6 very well. It has a great open floor plan with personal space for everyone. We had a great time with the provided games and game room. The back porch and direct access to the backyard creek was so very peaceful. The dust on the drapes, windows and furniture increased the musty smell of the home. It is older and desperately needs some updating and a deep cleaning. The pipes don’t seem to leak, but there is obvious water damage in the ceiling. We appreciated the fresh, clean tasting well water and the non fragrance washing detergents. With that said, the plug ins were nauseating. We removed them immediately from inside the house and opened the windows to air out the rooms. Unfortunately, this didn’t work as quickly as we’d have liked and we had to sleep with open windows. That wasn’t awful because we love the creek sound, but the windows were dirty and the breeze blew dust and bugs into the house. We managed. These are the previously stated reasons for negative comments.
We had a amazing time. The grandkids loved the game room and all the games. The house is beautifully decorated and lots of room. The sound of the creek running behind it was amazing. We will definitely be going back.
