We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Alaska. Eagle River Retreat was our home base for 5 nights. The views from the house are amazing. Waking up and looking out the window and seeing the mountains and hearing Eagle River was the best. A couple of things, being from Texas, I would ask is that there be fans available for air circulation. Also, maybe a divider up in the upstairs bedroom to block the light coming from the windows in the living room area. We were not a fan of the "open concept" bathroom in the upstairs bedroom either. Other than those small detail, we had a wonderful trip and the owners were very quick to answer anytime we messaged them. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Awesome cabin, we originally planned on staying at a hotel in downtown and by God's intervention found this cabin listing. Totally amazing experience. Beautiful views. Every time we would drive back into the eagle river valley after a day out id ask myself why I bothered leaving. The best of Alaska was surrounding the cabin we were staying at. We stayed in November of 2025. Just to clarify there IS heating other than the wood stove. After booking I thought of this scenario and was stressing out but yes there is heating.
