Come summer, the private gas grill will come in handy for family cookouts as the sun dips behind the trees. The baker of the group will enjoy the use of cookie sheets, mixing bowls, a hand mixer, and other bakeware. What's nearby: Sitting just two-and-a-half miles from Alyeska, the skiers of the group will have endless runs and fresh powder within a few minutes of the front door. Enjoy the use of the free town shuttle to get around! While in the area, be sure to take a break from the mountain and check out the charming shops, restaurants, and cafes that are scattered throughout the town. If you are wanting to take a day trip into downtown Anchorage, you are only 39 miles away making for an easy commute into the vibrant city. Beluga whales can be seen chasing the silver salmon in the glacial waters of Turnagain Arm. This home is located also on the only road that heads south out of Anchorage, so guests will be easily connected to other towns in the region.
