We stayed at the beginning of June when Girdwood is wound down from the ski season. The condo, which is located in an older building, has a been well updated: well decorated, good appliances, comfortable beds, and well thought out. I genuinely appreciated that there was no television in the main sitting area but were in the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend.
The location is awesome. So close to the lifts and a couple restaurants. Unfortunately the beginning of the trip was very frustrating. When we arrived at 10pm with very tired kids, they keys was not in the lock box. After finally getting in, the condo smelled terrible. The next day we identified the smell as coming from the garbage disposal and were able to fix it.
Great location. House had all the necessities. We had a great time.
It was conveniently located near the base of chair 3, so it's a quick drive to hop on the lift (we had passes already). My biggest complaint was that for someone who really planned to utilize the kitchen, some basic kitchen gear was missing. I can't remember all of it but the one that really stands out to me right now is hot pads. There were no hot pads... Also no baking pans like 9x13 or 8x8. Those seem like staples to me. Not a big deal if you're planning to eat out, but I brought all the food I was going to cook for the week and ran into issues. The kids LOVED the comic books, and my son really wants me to get a couch like they had. There's a travel guitar in there. I tuned it and enjoyed playing it a bit. Some guys in another unit asked if we had the guitar in ours because they had stayed in it before... They wished their condo had the guitar! Our bed was comfortable and kids didn't complain. Wish the TV and internet was better and honestly that there was a TV downstairs because we enjoy movie nights when we go on trips like that. - Family of 5, kids ages 11, 9, 6.
Low water pressure and concerningly old windows but the space was large and comfortable
The location for this condo is great - if skiing, you can walk a couple minutes up the street and get right on the Bear Cub Quad and start skiing! It is a nice neighborhood, and you can walk to dining options in the area. We did have significant issues with getting locked out of our condo as we were not provided with consistent access to keys to get in, which was a concern. The interior felt cute but also dated and unfinished, and one of the bedrooms, which directly faces another condo's windows, did not have a curtain on the window, so the bedroom did not feel particularly private.
