Loved the space on all levels. Needs updating. Had a musty home odor on arrival.
Myself and a bunch of friends stayed here while skiing at Alyeska. We loved it and it was perfect for our needs. It was a large house with lots of comfortable beds, and the pool table and hot tub were really great. If you're looking for something that's super upscale / fancy, this place probably won't be what you want. But it was definitely more than good enough for what we needed, and for us, it was exactly what we were looking for and we would definitely come back to this location again. The only minor complaint is we couldn't figure out how to get the upstairs fireplace going and had a hard time connecting to anyone to figure it out. But in the end it was fine.
Plenty of space. Game room great.
Plenty of space for 2 families. Good location and great view.
The house served for what was needed. Sleep, bathrooms and a kitchen. We had a hard time figuring out the basement heating, the fireplace was not always turning on. Some of the dvd players were no longer working. Bathrooms were nice and clean, no complaints. Plenty of sleeping places, middle floor was a hard to sleep in only because of how old the house is. You can hear all the squeaky floors of everything on the 3rd level. Super bummed with the condition of the hot tub, the hot tub smelled musty and couldn’t locate the chlorine floaty to help keep it clean. Overall, the place was good for what was needed but didn’t pop out as anything super special. The place needs some maintenance and a deep clean. Carpets and rugs and base boards. The fan on the top floor is very wobbly. Hard to identify what light switches worked with what lights, couldn’t identify many of the sources for some of the lights. This is a great place if your looking to sleep lots of people in one place.
My family of 12 really enjoyed this home. It easily could have held 16 people comfortably! Relaxing on the couch enjoying the view, grandpas challenging grandkids to foosball, dads teaching daughters how to play pool, moms relaxing in the hot tub, grandmas teaching card games to grandkids... this house provided so much for us! With three levels and two kitchen areas there was plenty of space to spread out. The only situation I'd see to skip this house would be if stairs are a major issue. The stairs are definitely not secured to be baby-proof, and there's no bathroom on the first floor, so wouldn't be an option for handicapped/elderly who can't use the stairs. I'm sure the listing covers that, though, and isn't a fault of the home for the vast majority of travelers. Otherwise it's wonderful, and perfect for a large group!
