Nice and comfortable and very close to resort

The shower was remodeled since our last stay.It was nice.

Visited Darwin’s with a group of 3 total. We really enjoyed our time in Alaska and for the most part at Darwin’s. I think the experience can be best described in a pros and cons list. Pros: - amazing location, about a 7 minute walk to Alyeska and ~15 min walk to stores and restaurants further down the road - indoor jacuzzi! Not sure why this isn’t advertised in the listing. Big indoor jacuzzi inside the living room - the whole place (aside from kitchen) was clean upon arrival Cons: - WiFi, extremely slow, we were often kicked off the WiFi because it wouldn’t work - the sofa bed, this listing says it sleeps 3 but the sofa bed was so uncomfortable it was practically unusable. Our 3rd guest had to sleep on the floor. The couch itself also seemed broken - lighting, once the sun set it was very difficult to see, the living room could definitely benefit from another couple of lamps - kitchen, most dishes were dirty and a lot of pots, pans, and utensils were rusty or scratched horribly - indoor jacuzzi, this was great and we used it everyday however there was something wrong with the filter and after each use it turned red. We had to reset the breaker in order for it to turn green again. Overall, for the price split between 3 people and location it was awesome. Definitely could use some improvements.

This property is quite unique. I've never had a hot tub in my living room before but I certainly made use of it everyday after a few hourd snowboarding at Alyeska. It was truly just what I needed. Some guests have mentioned a mold/chlorine smell in the room. I did not smell anything at all and the room was perfectly clean when we arrived. The space heater/fake fireplace was also quite nice and very much made for cozy vibes once the sun set. This property is ~1 block away from the Alyeska ski resort and very convenient. You can certainly walk if you'd like to, or drive and park. Its also a convenient location if you plan to explore further down the kenai penninsula, Whittier is right there, and Coopers Landing is only 1 hour away. I'd highly recommend this location if you ski, are traveling in the winter, or if you just like the photos. What you see is very much what you get, there are no nasty surprises hiding in this listing. Would highly recommend it.
