Wow. Where to begin. We learned that the "Alpha Unit" took years of thoughtful consideration before construction, and it's reflected - you're staying in Anchorage, but really, your eyes and mind will be drawn to the vast beauty of Cook Inlet, Mt Susitna, the Tordrillo Mountains, and Denali/Foraker of the Alaska Range. And that's just the views! The interior is exceptionally well-appointed for living and entertaining, with seven (7!) indoor/deck social spaces, a highly-functional central kitchen, best-in-class appliances, massive hot tub, ergonomic standing desk, and comfortable showers/beds. If you don't like the noise of a train you probably shouldn't stay anywhere in coastal Anchorage - here, a half-dozen times per day your kids can wave to the passengers and the engineer will blow the horn just for them. Overall, we had a terrific couple stays here and would recommend to any local or visitor.
The location was amazing. We loved all the decks . The kitchen was amazing ! Everything had been thought of. Spacious and spotless.
Location, fully operable kitchen appliances, and plenty of condiments and spices. Outstanding view.
My mom and I recently stayed here, and while the house and view are beautiful, we experienced some concerning issues. We heard strange banging noises coming from the owner's lower-level unit at 6:30 AM and again around 11:30 PM to after midnight on both nights of our stay. We were also unaware that the owner or another person would be present below us. Additionally, we noticed what appeared to be a hidden camera in the kitchen above the island, which was not mentioned in the villa's description. By law, such disclosures are required. Overall, we felt that our stay did not provide value for the money spent.
This was an absolutely beautiful home in a great location. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck admiring the amazing views and (late) evening sunsets. We biked the Coastal Trail and enjoyed the outdoors each day. Everything in the house worked perfectly, allowing us to enjoy fully Anchorage and the natural beauty of Alaska. Our sincere thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us.
